Aimfair Gathering - Nuevo Vallarta - Tower One Outside Seating Area

November 30, 2018

It was a warm and sunny day. It was also Patrick O'Leary's first time to meet Aimfair members and discuss their questions. In the end, he was applauded for participating and providing answers to questions he could answer. He promised he would get back with us with answers to questions he could not answer.

Vida Vacations hosted the event, and those in attendance were grateful for the opportunity to participate. The questions were not easy to answer. But Patrick did a great job. In fact, he was gracious enough to stay beyond the formal session to discuss matters with individuals who had additional questions that were more personal in nature.

Following is a summary of the discussion that took place in the outside seating area next to the Tower One lobby bar:

Aimfair Gathering Notes November 7, 2018
  1. Why can’t management open gate to allow members to leave the property on foot?
    • Persistence versus resistance – Keep asking. However there is a lot of construction happening in the area – feels not safe. Possible liability issues?

  2. When will northbound highway open?
    • Don’t know – road construction is going on. Partly a government problem. Some roadwork being done near the car agency – possibly a road to use to go north.

  3. Why are reservations so hard to obtain?
    • Hope to alleviate that when new buildings open. Contracts have different booking times 12- 8- 4 months in advance. They make solidifying reservations a challenge.

  4. Is there a Mexican law that sets limits on numbers of units that can be used at one time?
    • Don’t know, have not heard of that.

  5. Timeline of Park opening?
    • November 2019-2020

  6. Cirque du Soliel still part of park
    • Yes

  7. Define difference between Jungle Estates and Estates?
    • Will let you know.
    • Estates units are located across the Ameca River next to the driving range.
    • Don’t know about the location in Rivera Maya.
Questions from Group in Attendance
  1. Can we see the park construction?
    • Yes – See it with your sales rep – when you have an update

  2. How are rooms assigned?
    • Don’t know – will let you know

  3. Will a casino be built?
    • No.

  4. Statement - Suggestion: Should updates include all properties not just the newest, for people who don’t want to upgrade? Some of the attendees had never heard of products being discussed and they wanted to know why they weren't offered the opportunity to buy.

  5. Is East Cape going to be built?
    • Yes.
    • But the timing is two to three years in the future - after the opening of the Park.
    • One person in the audience actually visited the property and provided Aimfair with photos to post of a building under construction.

  6. Who do I talk to if I have a question about a certain salesperson?
    • Member Services – Jeff Tymkow

  7. What is the business structure of the company?
    • In April changes were made.
    • Vidanta owns all resorts and handles all operations.
    • Vida Vacations handles all sales.
    • Member Services – Is the go between.
    • Protects consumers – Works with contracts and addenda.
    • Protects company

  8. What protects consumer when signing contract?
    • Recital #11 in contract –
    • There is a 5-day recession clause. Gives time to scan and send to attorney if want to.

  9. Waterpark in Puerto Penasco?
    • Yes, to be built. When will it be completed?

  10. Estates – What is the size? – floor plans
    • Will try to get plan and send to Aimfair.

  11. Vidanta Cruise Line? Does Vidanta own a ship? When will it start operating?
    • Yes – Still being refurbished.
    • Will sail the Mexican coast.
    • Two staff members per guest.
    • Do we buy a contract to use – Think it will be an exchange type usage.

  12. Will Rivera Maya have an 18-hole golf course?
    • No plans

  13. What about Vida Dollars?
    • Thinks they are valuable especially for hotels, car rentals. Also for merchandise.

  14. Can RCI Members exchange to Grand Luxxe
    • Yes

  15. Mansions of the World?
    • Not at this time.
It was a very lively group that gave Patrick a good first experience. Although some of the questions were hard to answer, especially some of the frustrating issues we all have, such as getting the rooms we want, the reservations we want and the buildings we want.

Also, the Little Gate continues to be a source of irritation as does the long, circuitous route when traveling north.

We were made aware of one answer to opening the gate - it may be open from 7:45 AM to 12:00 PM. It was when we teed off on the 17th hole, and that was before noon. So maybe we all have to leaved early, catch the bus to downtown and then return by taxi.

Thank you all for participating. Thanks to Vida Vacations for hosting the Gathering. And a big thanks to Patrick for providing us all a chance to talk to Management.
The Second Gathering Notes are being worked on and will be available next week. Stay tuned...
