In July, 2009, John provided us with a map of Nuevo Vallarta he obtained during his sales presentation while on vacation at Nuevo Vallarta. This map projected the architect's rendering of the building locations on the property based upon what he or she was told at the time. At the southern tip of the property, the last building was to be a Mansions of the World hotel.
Later, the Grand Luxxe Tower 1 opened (February 2010), Grand Luxxe Tower II opened (about November 7, 2010) and Grand Luxxe Punta now nears completion. The building at the end of the point where the Ameca River and Bahia de Banderas meet, was said to be a Mansions of the World building.
As we all know, change is the only constant at Nuevo Vallarta (with the exception of the manners and courteous nature of the operating staff). Mansions of the World is said to no longer have the premium place on the property.
This is a long winded way to get to the bottom line.....on May 21, 2011 the Argentina ministry of tourism issued an announcement. Grupo Vidanta would start construction of a Six Star Hotel in Buenos Aires in June, 2011. The announcement goes on to say the project will require about 500 local workers, which will be good for the economy and will be completed in 2013.
We are happy to see this project get off the ground. It shows Grupo Vidanta's commitment to building facilities outside of Mexico.
Don't misinterpret this statement. We love Mexico. It is just that we would love to go to other countries too, and Argentina is said to be a great place to visit.
BTW, did we mention that the Six Star Hotel is the Mansions of the World Hotel?
