The Spatium by Brio - An Update from Linda In Seattle

Spatium is defined as a space, room or a space in anatomy.

Sleepdoc asked where the Grand Luxxe Spa is located. Linda in Seattle answered by describing the building as the one with the red tiled roof east of the Grand Luxxe Towers IV A and B.

Also, today, Linda clarified the status of this new facility. It is called Spatium by Brio and here is what Linda had to say:
The concierge just added a section to our room info binder all about the new GL Spa called "Spatium" by Brio. They are still intending to open this weekend (Dec 28-30 ish). Here's a quick recap from the insert:
  • Exclusive to GL guests.
  • Two levels with 25 massage and treatment spaces.
  • Central relaxation area with views to the interior lake of the resort.
  • Separate men's and women's: lockers/showers, Jacuzzis, saunas, steam, relaxation area.
  • Esthetic area: haircuts, facials, manicures, pedicures.
  • There are over 33 different massages, facials and body treatments described.
And for anyone that missed the previous post, the Spatium is located in a stand-alone building, next to the golf course, just past the GL5 location.

Note the palapas and other covered areas. These will become individual, private massage areas. You can see the SPA facility is on the edge of lake, and the view from the second floor relaxing area should be....relaxing, indeed.

A closer look at the main building while it was under construction provides a glimpse of its interior. Definitely a spacious building with lots of space for treatments and massages.

Dale took the following photo on May 3, 2011. At the time, the building was present but its ultimate use was not known to we Grand Luxxe Residence Club members.
