Maitre d and Head Waiter at Le Petit Chef dinner show is unique and a fun experience for up to 8 guests.

Le Petit Chef - President of LPC University - A fictitious entity.

April 26, 2021

I left our remaining two friends with a Residence Tower concierge for a brief time because four other friends were leaving after their week long stay in Nuevo Vallarta. They all had a wonderful time, and they could not stop complementing the staff and praising the property.

After returning from getting four of our friends off in a taxi, the remaining two announced that we will be experiencing a new dinner show called Le Petit Chef. We had heard nothing about it all week long, and it seems the maître d was in the lobby and started talking with our remaining friends. The conversation was convincing, and voila, we were in for a unique and fun experience Saturday evening.

What did we find? Something very different and fun!

It all started with a cocktail on the outside deck. Then we were shown to the table, and the restaurant was relatively dark. The wait staff was all lined up ready to serve. Very fancy!

Following is a sample of what the show is like:

Lobster Medallion - very tasty

Then on to the next course - a pork dish with carrots and other vegetables. They are shown on the table.

Finally - desert. We made our own and our creations were judged. Mine was not even mentioned...lol. All the while, Le Petit Chef was overseeing our efforts and had a fictitious fire engine ready if things got out of control. We magnified his image so you can get a better impression of our very active host.

Finally, our host comes out to provide our degrees documenting our accomplishment at the LPC University. Our diplomas are actually edible, but I kept mine as permanent documentation of my degree. wink

Cost is $140 per seat, and a 15% tip is included in the price. Five courses, wine and a cocktail. Plenty of entertainment. And lots of laughs!

One note of caution about making payment - bring your receipt if you pay in advance. Otherwise you may be double charged, and some concierges may not be able to correct the mistake. Do not let the double charge stay on your bill, trusting that you will be able to reverse it when you get home. The best you can expect then is a credit, but it will take time to remove the charge.
Le Petit Chef is a wonderful experience. The other family with us included a young man about 12 years old, and he thoroughly enjoyed it too. You will leave with a smile on your face and a great photo that documents your participation.
