Premier Business Brokers

February 27, 2015

Nino received two more calls from the scamming gentlemen and posted his comments on the forum to share with all of us. Yesterday's call was especially ill-timed as Nino was meeting challenges when the call came in. Following are Nino's comments:
Further to my post regarding Premier Brokers, I received two phone calls in the last couple of days:

- The first call was from a guy who claimed to be the General Manager of Executive Title - the escrow company for Premier Brokers. He said he wanted to explain why I had to pay 25% Mexican sales tax.
  • I asked him to send me a tax bill to verify the amount.
    • He said he couldn't as the transaction involves other parties that they want to keep confidential.
  • I then said he could black out the names.
    • He said he couldn't do that either.
  • I then said they could deduct the taxes from the rental proceeds.
    • He said such was illegal.
  • I then told him that i may have been born at night, but not last night - and that I said repeatedely I would not forward any monies.
    • He then said that I would be receiving a call from the Mexican revenue service and that the rental contract is at risk of being cancelled.
I told him to have a nice day.

- Sure enough, I received a call from a character yesterday afternoon who said he works for the Mexican revenue service. This guy called me on a bad day at work and caught me in a bad mood. He was clearly reading from a prepared script and wouldn't allow me to ask any questions - he just kept reading from the script to explain why the 25% Mexican sales tax was payable. I told him that I don't believe for a second that he works for the Mexican government, and that he, Premier Brokers, and Executive Title are all scammers and should be ashamed of themselves for cheating honest people out of their hard earned money. He hung up on me while I was yelling at him.
First of all, none of us thought for a minute that Nino would ever have a bad day at work!

Secondly, we all should print Nino's comments on a sheet of paper in big letters so we can read them without glasses and have it handy for the next time a scammer calls. After all, the only way these slick sales guys will stop is if no one buys! I ask everyone:
  1. How difficult is it to follow this script?
  2. How much happier would we all be if we did not succumb to the temptation of making something out of an offer that is too good to be true?
  3. Who makes you write the check?
Wonderful, Nino! Thank you so much for sharing your comments and experience with us.
