The VidantaWorld is the Park

Changes happen quickly in Mexico, despite what people fondly say. Maybe they seem to happen with speed because we are not there in person. Anyway, it seems to us that change at Vidanta is the only thing that is constant and you can count on.The big signs along Highway 200 in Nayarit on the north side of the bridge over the Ameca River welcoming visitors to Nayarit introduce you to VidantaWorld - the big VW. Then the Sky Dream Gondola travels overhead as you are driving north and leave the bridge.
Now we know that instead of the parks being called The Parks as is stated on signage at each of the five Sky Dream Gondola stations, the gondola system was officially crowned the Sky Dream Gondola, complete with a ribbon cutting Grand Opening ceremony.
The event took place on August 16, 2021. A dozen or so dignitaries took part, and the event caps a period of dry runs for visitors who vacationed at Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta in 2021.
We actually enjoyed the full trip, and you can see elements of what we saw below.

Robbi shared his video of the ride to the beach from Highway 200. The round trip started at Station #5 at Highway 200. You can see the amount of progress made between October, 2020 and April, 2021.

The three VidantaWorld Parks will be developed over many years. It will be paid by timeshare sales. To the extent tourism is postponed, so will the project be postponed. That said, will the first phase open in 2022? Look at the progress between October 2020 and April 2021 and you decide.
