General Property Management, Inc. and Fernando Gallegos de Castro - Mexican Federal Agent

April 1, 2016

No, this is not an April Fools Joke.....or.... on the other hand, Jordan Banks and Fenando Gallegos de Castro, if you did business with them, they would say "April Fools" and keep your money.

Here is what Pablo, who is our source of information, had to say:
Hola Roberto - Hope you had a fun, relaxing Easter. Last week you asked me to send some information regarding the scam calls I received recently. The first one was from a Jordan Banks (720-766-8312) who said his firm, General Property Management, was involved in a lawsuit against the Grand Luxxe to help current owners recoup their $$$ which was abstained by fraud. He had my contract number and said my trade in value was worth $250,000.

The second one was from a Fernando Gallegos de Castro who said that he was a Federal Agent for the Mexican Gov't - phone number 001-554-162-9282. He said the Gov't was opening a case against the Grand Luxxe resort for selling information. They want to penalize the resort - the owners can give their timeshares back to the resort and get their money back with a charge of only 10% being collected by the Gov't. A Federal judge is going to preside over this.

Will let you know if I get any more calls. Will talk to later in the week.. Pablo

Well Pablo, here is what we found out:
  • The address listed on their website (http://generalpropertymanagementinc.com) is fake. I spoke with Daniel at Executive Business Network, an Executive Suite operator at the address listed on the General Property Management Inc website. She said she has received about 4 calls over the past month or so and said she does not know anything about the company. It does not pay rent or any fees to Executive Business Network.

  • It looks as though the company called General Property Management Inc. was dissolved on December 27, 2011. Here is what appears in the Secretary of State for Colorado records:
I
ID# Document # Company Name Event Status Form Formation Date
19931144515 19931144515 GENERAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT, INC. Articles of Incorporation Name Changed DPC 01/01/1994
19931144515 20151570534 GENERAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT, INC. Articles of Reinstatement Good Standing DPC 01/01/1994
19931144515 20111709409 GENERAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT, INC. Dissolved December 27, 2011 Name Changed DPC 01/01/1994
This is another example of Advance Fee Fraudsters taking the name of a dissolved company and claiming it is legitmate.

  • Following is the company's domain registration data. Note: Content in the website claims the company has been in business since 2004. The domain registration was created on August 31, 2015 is set to expire on August 31, 2016. Not much longevity here!

We were unable to find anything on Sr. Fenando Gallegos de Castro, the alleged Mexican Federal Agent. But then, we did not expect to. After all, this is a game of "I found you but you can't find me".
Thank you Pablo for bringing this scam to our attention. Many are out there, so please be careful. And remember.....only YOU can help stamp out scammers.....DON'T WRITE THAT CHECK!
