Nuevo Vallarta is changing. Grounds are coming together. What appears to be ponds and new spaces appear to be taking shape. Bahia de Banderas a la Punta is depositing sand and the beach appears to be growing.How do we know this? DLCrandel. We found their photos in Member Photos, which we were very happy to see.

It looks as though the Train Station - Reception Area is about to open. It will not be long....

I believe the tracks are complete and we even saw the train.

Mayan Palace South Tower is at ground level and Spa/gym is ready.

The gym looks complete but not open as of 2-18.
Tides ebb and flow, exposing and covering sand bars that expand and contract the beach in front of the Punta.

It will be great when you can walk along the river to the beach in front of the Punta.

There is plenty of seating surrounding and below the Grand Luxxe Punta building at Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico. This view of the seating deck is looking south toward the bird sanctuary and Puerto Vallarta.
The outdoor seating surrounds and is below the Grand Luxxe Punta in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico. This is the south side of the building, and the seating area is on the border of the states Jalisco and Nayarit in Mexico.
The Boat Dock at the Punta is nearly covered with foliage, the Punta Arena Restaurant is waiting and Ecole de Cuisine LeFort in Bucerieas is an experience.
The boat dock for the Punta is at the end of the waterway that feeds the Punta ponds at Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico. The foliage has grown tremendously since November 19, 2011.
The Punta Arena Sea Food restaurant below the Grand Luxxe Punta in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico is usually quiet, warm and comfortable. On this February day, there was bluster and rain. Surfers were out though.
French restaurant in Bucerias, Mexico that is quaint and good.
