Mansions of the World

On May 27, 2011, the Ministry of Tourism announced that Grupo Vidanta was to start building a Mansions of the World Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In addition to the fact that the hotel would be a Six Star hotel with a personal butler for each room, Grupo Vidanta will be employing approximately 500 Argentines, which will be good for the economy.Nothing was mentioned about the location of the project in the announcement. However, thanks (or maybe not) to the electronic age we live in, the Internet is a sump of information.
An article stating that Grupo Vidanta was going to build a Mansions of the World Hotel was published by CNN Expansion on April 26, 2010. A forum that discusses skyscrapers throughout the world took up a conversation, and one of the participants offered images of a location that was originally part of a city approved plan.
Following are images of the articles and the site that the Skyscraper Forum participant suggested was where the Mansions of the World Hotel would be located.
If this is true, then it appears the hotel will be in great company. Many new skyscrapers are being built in the area of the proposed building site.
Granted, nothing is for certain until the structure is complete and occupied. However, you know we love construction. It will be another project we will keep our eyes on. What fun!!!
