Vidanta Bonus Week Program - Fake...!

November 1, 2016

Tis the Season To Begin Receiving Solicitations From Scammers! November 1 is not only the day after Holloween in the US, but it is also the day of celebration in Mexico to mourn the loss of loved ones and pay their respects during Los Dias de Los Muertos on November 1 and 2.

Now the only connection between the wonderful celebrations that occur in Mexico on November 1 and 2 and our personal delcaration that November 1 begins the timeshare season is the coincidence of increased scamming activity after November 1 and until July 1 each year. Scammers love to introduce timeshare owners to opportunities to spend more money and get nothing.

Case in point is the first offer of the season. This offer allegedly is from Vidanta. The offer entices the recipient to sign up for bonus weeks. All you have to do is call a number that can't be traced or send an email to an address referencing a domain that was created on October 25, 2016 and which expires on October 25, 2017.

If you received the following notice, please contact customer service at the number you know well and ask about the validity of the offer. On the surface, it appears to be a scam.

Be very careful about responding to this offer. The possible consequence is you would give the scammers knowledge that the email used is active and the sender (you) is interested in making money from weeks not owned.

There is a whole list of fake offers, including this one:
If this is a legitimate offer from Grupo Vidanta, we apologize for jumping to the conclusion that the program is a scam and will retract this post. On the other hand, this post serves as a warning to all that the scamming season has begun.
Remember, only YOU can help stamp out scammers....by NOT SENDING MONEY....
