It is interesting for us to hear about the level of construction that is going on there. From the sound of it, Grupo Vidanta plans to accomplish quite a bit on this property by 2013.

It is really fascinating for us to read Member reviews about the amount of construction that is taking place throughout the properties in which Grupo Vidanta has an interest. The organization has very big plans, to say the least!

''I am at the Acapulco Mayan Palace Regency (MPR) right now. The units are just like all of the regular MP units, except that there are no alarm clocks, no pull-out mirrors in the bathrooms, and the coffeemaker is just a 4 cup model even though there are 10 coffee cups! We have a great view of the pool from our unit. The lazy river is really nice, but is currently closed for maintenance. It was working on Sunday, but on Monday morning, no water was in it and then on Tuesday, we got a note that it will be closed January 17-25. There is just one restaurant and a swim-up bar here at the MP. There is a shuttle that takes you to the Grand Mayan that runs pretty continuously. WIFI costs 950 pesos for a week.
