Architectural Rendering of The Parks or Vidanta World in 2020. The large circular structure in the lower section of the image may actually be under construction now. Look at the photos that are fourth, third and second from the last. Also, look at the cement structures in the center of the property. They will be restaurants. Finaly, the Cirque du Soleil theater is under construction too.

The Parks - Vidanta World Progress from Lynn

December 30, 2020

Lynn was in Nuevo Vallarta for two weeks in December and was there when the Skydream Gondola opened. She hopped on a car and went for a ride. The result is a wonderful series of photos that clearly show the progress being made at the Parks.

The areas we can identify fall into several categories. The names are our names, and they are not meant to be official in any way. Here they are as we try to define them:

  • Kingdom of the Sun
  • Kingdom of the Sun II
  • Cirque du Soleil Theater
  • Restaurants
  • Dredging for dirt
  • Highway entrance
  • Mid-Property Entrance to the Park
  • Celebrate Park Resort Hotel

Lynn's photos show in detail the current state of the project. It is still too early to know where different venues will be located, with two exceptions: The Cirque du Soleil theater and the restaurant building. Also, it appears there are changes to infrastructure.

The only thing we can do now is enjoy the photos.
Kingdom of the Sun

Kingdom of the Sun seen from the Skydream Gondola.

Kingdom of the Sun Buildings

Kingdom of the Sun II

Kingdom of the Sun II appears to have rounded fascia covering the skelleton structure. Stay tuned.

Cirque du Soleil Theater

This structure looks like the circular theater for Cirque du Soleil dinner shows.

A closer look at the circular structure strongly suggests the building is designed for Cirque du Soleil performances.

Restaurants

The cement structure is a restaurant complex in the architectural renderings.

There are underground tunnels servicing the structure.

The restaurants are on the shores of a main lagoon. Certainly can't see that now.

The cement structure is close to the center of the property.

Dredging for dirt

Ever wonder where the dirt comes from? Well now you know - from the man-made lakes.

Highway entrance

This Vidanta sign is very obvious when driving north on Highway 200.

This photo is taken close to Skydream Station #1, next to the highway, and the view is south toward Puerto Vallarta.

Mid-Property Gondola Station

It appears the area in this photo is near the second Skydream station. This station was going to service the parking lot. New plans don't show the parking lot now. If you look closely, you can see the Estates pod on the uppre right side of the photo.

This work is going on near Gondola Station #2. The large land sculpture is where the entrance to the Park from the central parking lot was going to be located. It may still be, but recent maps suggest otherwise.

There was going to be a large pool and archway where guests from the parking lot would walk onto the property. This may still be the plan, but the architectural renderings don't match reality.

The land sculpting in this area is interesting. It may be the entrance to the park and the access point for Skydream Station 2..

Celebrate Park Resort Hotel

The Celebrate Park Resort Hotel is north of Tower 6 and is under construction. New foundation structures are appearing in this photo, indicating more highrises are to come.

There seems to be a lot of work to do in The Parks. That said, work is being done.
Thank you Lynn. Your photos are terrific! Clearly, there is a lot to do. Certainly two years worth. Stay tuned...
