Business Brokers International

March 22, 2022

Our intrepid Aimfair Scam Investigator was contacted again on the evening of March 21, 2022. Here is what he shared with all of us:

Good morning Bob,

Thanks very much for posting the scammer information on the website. I enjoyed reading all of your updates on the Aimfair website during the weekend.

I caught another one last night.

I received a call from Business Brokers International out of Manhattan. I gave the scammer the third degree the best that I could without swearing at him. I’m surprised that he didn’t hang up on me. I just spoke to the property manager at the building they claim to be located at – One New York Plaza

The property manager was very nice and said that Business Brokers is not a tenant in their building, and that she has been receiving quite a few calls from people enquiring about them. She said that some people have told her that they sent money to Business Brokers and of course never heard back.

I will add Business Brokers to the database that I am working on.

Gerard,

I contacted the property manager at 1 New York Plaza (212-483-0771). She stated that Business Brokers International is not a tenant in the building – and that she has been receiving quite a few calls asking if Business Brokers is a tenant. Some people complained to her that they sent money to Business Brokers with no results.

I don’t think that Business Brokers International is a legitimate company. I quite frankly think that you are a scam and a fraud. I think that all you are trying to do is attempt to coerce honest people to send you money as a fee for whatever BS reason (e.g. Mexican Tax I.D., closing costs, administrative fees, etc).

You and other fraudulent brokers use the same tactics:

  • Address of a major office or financial building to make it seem that you’re a bigshot company – but you are not a tenant in such building.
  • Alleged name of the potential buyer who is a billionaire and can be found on the internet
  • Name of the Buyer’s representative, however, cannot be found on the internet
  • High rental or sales price to attract the owner. However, in this case, your offer is way too low.

Your website URL are less than a year old. So how could your company be in business for many years?

Do not contact me any further as I will not be answering and will not be replying to any further emails.

Also, here is the result of a search of the telephone number:

Thank you for this updated information. Very valuable and a great reminder that the calling parties are very thick skinned. They do not take NO for an answer nor do they get upset when you do.
