San Jose del Cabo - Grand Mayan Update

The Grand Mayan has been rebuilt and has received high marks from Nick and GaryIII. Here is what Nick had to say:Here are a few pics from the brand new Grand Mayan in Cabo. The old Mayan was destroyed in the hurricane. They rebuilt this in record time. When I was there it was like a ghost town. Hardly anyone there. Of course late July is not the best time to visit Mexico. It was a tiny place when you compare to Nuevo Or Riviera Maya. Enjoy the pics....Thank you Nick. We understand from the owner of Buzzard's Bar and Grill that San Jose del Cabo and the surrounding area pretty much closes down. Maybe the heat or whatever....
The Grand Mayan in San Jose del Cabo may become an even greater attraction as more viewers venture north on the newly completed Camino Cabo Este road, which extends north about 60 miles to Los Barriles. There are a number of interesting communities close to the Sea of Cortez that can now be accessed from this new road. East Cape is the term used to identify the coastline that extends from San Jose del Cabo to Los Barriles. Great fishing and many new resorts are planned, including Grupo Vidanta's East Cape project.
