What Will This Odd Bridge Become?

January 16, 2016

Boots on the Ground is in Nuevo Vallarta now in the Punta Tower for a few more days. He alerted us to a stange development: Staff is constructing a new bridge that crosses the canal surrounding the Punta Pools. Where will this bridge go? Who will use it? How long will it be in place? Who knows? Only time will tell....

January 14, 2016, a crane was used to hoist the wooden deck that was located on the south side of the Punta Tower off its moorings. What is going on is a reasonable question.

January 15, 2016, it appeared other work was underway. The question about the use still applies.

January 15, 2016, in the meantime, Boots noticed penninsulas jutting into the river. We are told the river is dredged for sand, and the sand is used to build the Greg Norman Course foundation. That makes sense. We have seen dredging there for years.

January 16, 2016, the bridge appears to be an attractive structrue made from treated wood. Still no idea what the bridge will be used for or who will be allowed to use the bridge.

January 16, 2016, this photo shows the new bridge from a different perspective. Definitely a structure designed for use. But by whom?

January 18, 2016, the new bridge is for equipment. Staff is using heavy equipment to make repairs or expand a useful part of the area on the south side of the Punta Tower. Once finished, we expect the bridge will go away.
