Nuevo Vallarta Update
January 4, 2017
Here is your quick update for the week
On a regional note, tourism for the first quarter is very strong. There is substantial growth in both resort and regional real estate rentals and sales.
- Tower five, and more specifically Luxxe ("Studio") Loft, continues to get rave reviews from roof top pool, check in, room, views and service.
- Shuttle service continues to be a little disorganized but with the new carts this should be under control within the week.
- The one bedroom residence loft (Penthouse) are slightly delayed and should be available soon. Working 24/7 to finish. Reservations are in hand.
Tourism is up over 15% from last year(which was up 20% from the year before). Weekly Rental rates over last year are up 8%, and real estate listing prices are up over 10%.
Many factors are influencing the region. Favorable weather, Vidanta publicity with what is coming and more flights and more airlines coming to name a few. The Mexican peso continues to be weak against the strong United States dollar makes Mexico a superior destination for value. In 24 years of being here, a 21:1 is extraordinary. Even more spectacular, prices here are very stable and have not risen with the peso.
So, come enjoy the resort and finest restaurants. It's only getting better.
For those concerned about what the locals are feeling toward United States citizens, they are happy and welcoming tourists. The more tourism flourishes, the more money is spent. The genuine friendly attitude is more in abundance.
Kind regards
